Citel signs Diacom as exclusive partner in Ireland
Citel Technologies has signed an exclusive reseller deal with Irish integrated solutions provider Diacom to sell the Amherst, N.Y.-based company's VoIP migration device in Ireland.
It's not the first time the two companies have worked together. In 2010, Diacom and Citel completed the first installation of the Portico TVA in an Irish regional hospital that was migrating to VoIP using Tadiran's Coral Sea softswitch.
Diacom's efforts to grow the market for the Portico TVA prompted Citel to make its sales and marketing agreement exclusive for the foreseeable future.
Diacom Managing Director Oran Maher said "the Portico TVA would add significant value to our telecoms offering by allowing customers to realize the benefits of Unified Messaging and Unified Communications by deploying VoIP systems in a very cost effective manner."
Citel enables SMBs, large enterprises and service providers to leverage existing PBX infrastructure as they migrate to next-gen IP applications and services. Service providers can deploy Hosted IP telephony services quickly, without having to "rip and replace" existing enterprise PBX handsets and LAN cabling.
