Too many people are using VoIP now a day, but triple the amount of people who does not know what VoIP is and too bad they’re still tied up with their phone providers. VoIP is the latest telecommunication technology which will connect your phone calls over the high-speed internet line instead of the regular telephone wiring. This is very useful since it can provide free calls if you will just be calling somebody who is using the same VoIP. For calling to other lines, the rates are a lot cheaper than the regular landline.
VoIP has proven to improve its market share in telecommunication industry. Vonage has been a threat to major phone carriers in United States that AT&T, and Verizon are providing VoIP service also to some areas which has good internet access. The reinvention of the phone technology could somehow tailor cut the customers needs.
There are 3 ways to call through VoIP:
1) VoIP calls using Softphone – It’s a downloadable software for your pc. You can call anywhere in the world for as long as you have high-speed internet. Download software to your laptop or mobile and make phone calls anytime, anywhere.
2) VoIP calls using IP phones – Companies like Cisco are now providing router and a phone at the same time. With the hardware, you can use it to connect to your internet as a router and at the same time you would able to make and receive phone calls using the same hardware. That’s how amazing IP Phone is, this is internet router and phone rolled into one.
3) VoIP calls Analog Telephone Adaptor- Use the same phone you are using to make calls. Instead of connecting it directly to the phone jack, unplug your phone cord and connect in to VoIP box, and connect the VOIP box to your internet. Feels like nothing has changed but you get a lot of savings with the new set up.
Choose which set up suits your lifestyle. Enjoy calling!
